International Overdose Awareness Day: Each year on August 31st, National Overdose Awareness Day is observed to remember the lives taken by overdoses, without stigma or shame. Overdose death is preventable. Everyone can take simple steps to prevent opioid misuse and keep your loved ones safe. The Grant County Health District and Renew are partnering to host an event for International Overdose Awareness Day at the Ephrata Courthouse from 4:30-6:30pm on Wednesday, August 31. Please see the attached photos to learn more. At this event there will be:

Tools to help prevent substance misuse and overdose including medication lockboxes and access to local community resources.
Overdose response training including FREE Narcan!
Community Speakers to help us understand what’s going on locally.
The coalition will be present at this event and is always looking for support and volunteers. Please reach out if you would like to be involved in this event.
