Mayor Sharp

Certificate of Municipal Leadership (CML)
Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership (ACML)

I wish to express my profound attachment to this city, which I proudly call home. I am acutely aware of the challenges that our community faces and am unwavering in my resolve to address them.

One of the most pressing challenges is the shortage of affordable housing. Many families in our city struggle to secure adequate housing, presenting a formidable obstacle. As mayor pro tempore, I am committed to a relentless pursuit of solutions to ensure that every family has access to secure and affordable housing.

Another significant challenge is the limited employment opportunities within our City. A substantial portion of our population faces underemployment or unemployment. In my capacity as mayor, I aim to collaborate with local businesses and organizations to generate new employment prospects and attract emerging industries to our City.

Additionally, I remain steadfast in my commitment to enhance the safety of our city. Collective efforts are essential in addressing concerns related to crime and violence. I pledge to work closely with law enforcement agencies to safeguard our streets and protect our citizens.

I strongly advocate for investment in our City's infrastructure. Improvements in our roads, bridges, and public transportation systems are imperative to augment the accessibility and connectivity of our City. This not only serves to enhance the quality of life for our citizens but also acts as an incentive to attract new businesses and industries to our City.

Finally, I am dedicated to fulfilling the responsibilities of an accessible and accountable mayor. Upholding the principles of transparency and open communication is paramount. Consequently, I will endeavor to ensure that our City government operates in a transparent and accountable manner that prioritizes the interests of its citizens.
