On the agenda for the evening is a demonstration of the new Soap Lake Community Event Calendar, a review of our accomplishments, and discussion about the next phase of the process: District Development and Promotion.
We are providing refreshments and a door prize raffle. There are multiple chances to win, and first time attendees will receive two raffle tickets!
We need you! There are many ways the community can participate in planning our creative district. Please come to this event and learn more.

How can you help?
We need cheerleaders
These are people who can act as advocates on behalf of creative district certification. Activities might entail helping to get letters of recommendation or support. Additionally, reaching out and presenting the idea to other community members, organizations (your club or church), or elected officials (county commissioners or legislators). Simply learning more and talking about it with others is also a big help.
We want to be sure our community is well represented
Cheerleaders can help make this happen by encouraging participation in the process. We want to be sure we hear from all types of local businesses, artists, and creatives because they are key to the development of a creative economy. And, we want to be inclusive - inclusive of young people, seniors, veterans, rich and poor, and representative of our cultural mix.
We also need collaborators or partners
A broad agreement of community leaders is a good sign that our district will succeed. These leaders will help guide our creative district activities and develop a strategic plan.
